"every text is a hypertext!"
-octavia e. butler
before enrolling as an undergraduate at the university of michigan in january of 2022, I invested time and energy in locating and consuming information–arranging my politic around books, documentaries, research, journalism and, not insignificantly, internet-based sources. I treasured and cached personal recommendations and curated repositories of resources. I would not be who I am without that time of rigorous intellectual exploration, guided by friends, mentors, and figures from afar.
this small resource library is an attempt to extend the opportunity for free intellectual exploration to my community and anyone else who may come across this website. although these teachings fall into broad and varying categories, I believe they play off of each other to paint a relatively radical picture of capitalism, culture, communication, race, gender, technology, hegemony, and perspective. what are linked below have enormously impacted my worldview and to continue to hold them solely in my private collection would be boring and unethical.
learn generously, share widely, and enjoy.☺
